Silver club initiative
Town of Neepawa has received a grant to run age-friendly programing in our community. We're excited to have the opportunity to work alongside fantastic organizations to make this program come to life and encourage social programming for seniors. See below for more information on programs and opportunities.
Program activities
Join us for free programming. Pre-registration is required so we can ensure we have enough supplies and volunteers for each activity.
Each program is designed to have a therapeutic recreation base. This could include reminiscence therapy, cognitive therapy, adventure therapy and much more.

February 25 |
Cooking with what you have. Learn some recipes to utilize those cans and items from the back of your pantry. Bring your favourite recipe to share with others.

March 25 |
Bring and share photos from your favourite vacation. We all love to travel and explore the world. Allow us to explore the world together through the eyes of our peers.

April 22 |
Join us with Athletic Therapist, Nicholas Noonan-Robinson to learn proper techniques for day to day movements to improve mobility and ensure movement for many years to come. Bring questions about stretches and movements.

June 16 |
Join us on a bus trip to Riding Mountain National Park.
Meet us at 10:30am at 275 Hamilton Street (or sign up for Handivan pickup). Enjoy time on the beach or walking down the board walk and visiting shops. We will leave Riding Mountain National Park at 2:30pm for an appoximate home arrival time of 3:30pm. |

August 15 |
Join us for a bus trip to the Virden Indoor Rodeo. We would attend the High School Rodeo. Bus pickup is 6:40am so we can be there by 8:30am. We would leave the rodeo at 12:00pm for a home arrival time at 1:30pm. Admission is free for the High School Rodeo, but bring some cash for souvenirs, food, or drinks at the event.

October 21 |
Create a pumpkin centerpiece with us. Make sure to pre-register for this activity, as we will need supplies.

November 25 |
Welcome Sign Making. We will make a wintery Welcome sign to put on the outside of your door. Spots are filling up fast for this activity.

Handivan trips
Once a month we're offering a free Handivan Trip to a location of your option. This service is to help community members reach essential services at all times of the years. You can book a trip to any local store, to get a hair cut, or a doctors appointment in Town. To book this service call; 204-476-2828 - mention that you're part of the Silver Club Initiative. This service is only an option on the below dates;

Social Hour & Dances
Bring your dancing shoes, or come to enjoy the music and socialize with your peers.
We cover the cost of Entertainment & Decorations - Lunch is $15.00
We offer a free Handivan trip for anyone to this event. Please mention if you'd like this service when registering.
